This was the last of the roses to flower in the garden. They hung on until December and then when frost was forecast; I had to pick this one to paint..
I find pink flowers difficult to get just right; it may be the colour of pink I'm using, and the right colour for the background is difficult to judge. This was the second attempt, but I will keep trying as there are so many gorgeous pink flowers out there - peonies immediately spring to mind, though I don't have any in the garden - I can see a trip to the garden centre in spring is a must.
