I'm at home today with a cold, so I thought this would be a good opportunity for me to start my blog ... I know ... this is not a good start as I'm not getting any painting done - but it's not easy painting when you're streaming and forever wiping your brush on the tissue, instead of the painting rag! mmm.... visions of a multi-coloured nose, spring to mind.
As you have probably seen the website isn't finished yet ... well lets face it, there's a lot missing ... but I am getting there so please keep looking. I thought this little piece was better than nothing and I can show you what I've painted so far.
This is my first attempt with the oil paints ... and well done for spotting that it's the wrong time of year for snowdrops.
I was a coward - rather than painting from life for my first attempt, I painted this from a photo I took earlier on in the year...... just to get the feel of the paints .... honestly!
I painted this about a month ago - so over the next couple of blogs I will bring you up to date and yes I do get more courageous... just have to spend the next couple of hours working out how to publish this live!
